Yin Yoga and Soundbath Workshop
May 4 Saturday 2-4pm
In Chinese medicine, the channels in our body responsible for moving our life force energy are called “meridians”. Each of the 12 meridians is associated with certain organs in the body. These conduits form a network. If the network is disrupted, if blockages occur, the body will not function properly, the organs will not perform their function, and imbalance arises. It is believed that when there is a blockage in a meridian or energy channel, disease sets in. This yin practice is designed to create conditions to open the meridian lines and let energy flow. By stressing or compressing our connective tissues, we are also stressing our organs, and in turn releasing any blockages in our meridians. This practice also helps you to stimulate those channels with scraping (gua sha) method to release energy blockages through the meridian circuit flow. In addition to incorporation the crystal singing bowls with their precise frequencies, serve as tools for clearing energy blockage and promote a state of energetic flow.
